The Company

SafeRadar Research was founded in 2015 and is a Tier one radar product company mainly for autonomous Airport Gate Monitoring. SafeRadar also performs consultancies for both the commercial and the military radar industry. Thus, SafeRadar Research provides deep knowledge regarding both commercial and military radars.

Already in 2016 SafeRadar developed its first 4D scanning/imaging radar in collaboration with DENSO. The design is based on an irregularly spaced antenna partitioning and high resolution methods. This idea provides both excellent angular resolution and super wide unambiguous angular zone. In addition to this, the detection framework can also be merged with the high resolution estimation framework. This does not only provide excellent detection capabilities but also facilitate advanced and high performing interference mitigation techniques.
Today this 4D radar concept has evolved into the Lannik radar systems from SafeRadar.

Moreover, we believe that proper radar system design shall be based on pre-study analysis using adequate and accurate models of the system.

From various measurements, the radar system modelling is confirmed/ improved. Using this enhanced understanding of the radar sensor, suitable system and subsystem requirements can be stated.
